Create space
reconnect, find balance.
As a Reiki practitioner, I work with natural energy to help promote balance and wellbeing in the body, mind, and spirit.
Using a gentle, hands-on or hands-above approach, Reiki can help clear energetic blockages, support deep relaxation, and encourage a sense of inner calm.
Reiki is a calming, non-invasive practice that can be used alongside other therapies, or simply as a way to recharge and reconnect with yourself. Whether experienced in person or through distant healing, each Reiki session offers a peaceful space to unwind and rebalance.
We all experience shifts in our energy—sometimes it's high, other times low. Everything is energy.

In person.
I could see the colour purple so strongly—almost like a theme. I felt a very powerful and relaxing charge of energy. I would try to describe it as a kinetic energy. I could feel the location moving around my body as to where you were working over me, even with my eyes shut. The colour purple I saw sticks with me, as it seemed to float up in waves and looked so beautiful. It was lovely to receive this healing—I feel warm and content.

Distance.
Wow, I just knew this was you but I thought for a moment, am I imagining this? And then I thought, I must just stop thinking and let go. I felt it so strongly—just as strong as when I was at yours recently and you were standing there, moving around me.
It felt fantastic, and I’m amazed at how powerful it was. I was quite stressed, as I was trying to do my tax return in the morning, and I find it harder every year as I get older. Now I feel much calmer and better equipped to carry on after my Reiki lunch break. Really amazing how it works—thank you so much. I feel much better, more confident! Not so glum!

I don’t usually feel much during a session, except a deep sense of relaxation. This time, I did feel a tingle spark out from the inside of my left knee and also along my left arm. I also had the sensation of drifting, as though I was moving in the chair—which, as someone who can’t move, isn’t physically possible—yet I clearly felt that gentle, floating motion. Overall, I felt very relaxed and at ease.

Before we started, as my first time she was explaining what might happen during Reiki and what it is, I felt a tingle on my right shoulder. During the session, I experienced a twinge in my upper leg that moved more centrally into my abdomen.
A song popped into my head: “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire.” I kept humming it afterward, I was singing it and it felt like a very calming tune.
I got a little fidgety towards the end probably because of my ADHD as it’s hard for me to sit still. I got up and overall I felt kind of clean, looser, more content, and almost as though I could see better. Then I started singing the song out loud.

Our story
I began exploring energy healing over 20 years ago. Although my busy life didn’t allow me to fully immerse myself at the time, I always knew I would return to it in greater depth one day.
During a significant phase of personal healing, I experienced many different beneficial therapies and discovered Reiki. The gentle yet powerful energy resonated deeply with me and became a key part of my own recovery. After a year or so, I had a moment of clarity — and in that instant, I knew I was ready to commit to this new path.
I describe Reiki as a calming energy transfer system. With a strong connection, it becomes an immersive experience on every level. And of course, once I had learned Reiki, I knew it wasn’t just for me — it was also to support others in their own well-being and to help them find calm and balance.
I am qualified in Reiki First Degree (Shoden) and Reiki Second Degree (Okuden), which means I am a Level 2 practitioner. I plan to train for Reiki Level 3 (Shinpiden) Master/Teacher, but for now, I’m enjoying every moment of hands-on healing.
Reiki is a gentle and natural practice that aims to support your overall sense of balance and wellbeing. Originating in Japan, the word “Reiki” means “Universal Life Energy”, and the technique was developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui.
Reiki sessions typically involve the practitioner placing their hands lightly on or just above the body in a calm, peaceful setting. The practice is intended to encourage deep relaxation, promote a sense of inner calm, and support your body’s natural ability to restore balance.
Many people describe Reiki as a soothing experience that helps them feel more centred and relaxed. While experiences vary, some report feeling more emotionally grounded or mentally clear after a session.
Reiki is often used alongside conventional medical care or other therapies as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing. It is non-invasive, gentle, and suitable for people of all ages.
Please note: Reiki is a complementary therapy and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical concerns.
